Editorial Policy
News Darpan is committed to accurate, fair, and independent journalism. This policy describes how we produce and verify our content.
Sourcing & verification
Our reporting draws on official sources, government releases, field reporting, and verified information. Facts, names, numbers, dates, and quotes are checked against source material and verified by our editors before publication.
Human editorial review
Every story is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before it is published. Our editors are responsible for the accuracy, fairness, balance, and context of each report. Sensitive stories pass an additional legal/editorial review gate. No story reaches our readers without human editorial sign-off — editorial judgement always rests with people.
Use of editorial tools
Like most modern newsrooms, we use digital tools to help our team research topics and produce paired English and Hindi versions of a story efficiently. These tools support our journalists; they never replace them. Any illustrative image that is computer-generated is clearly labelled as such and is never presented as a real photograph. Full details are in our AI & Technology Disclosure.
Independence
Editorial decisions are independent of commercial and advertising interests. See Ownership & Funding.
Bilingual standard
We publish in English and हिन्दी. Translations aim to preserve meaning and journalistic register faithfully.
